pinks and lime green flowers including, hydrangeas, alstroemerias, crysanthemum and other pretty flowers and foliage which I’m not sure of their names. It was arranged beautifully, I wish there was some way of posting a photo of them as my description doesn’t do them justice! The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful when I phoned to place the order. Not an easy job describing to someone which flowers were available when you cant see them for yourself! Ive used Bond and Bloom before and recommend them highly.

Although I do help promote them on Social Media & my own Lytham Lifestyle website, I am also a regular to the High Street shop which is beautiful and inspiring and also has a well chosen & thoughtful range of gift ideas too. The bouquets and indeed all the flowers are sourced from mainly British Growers and are very long lasting, which I think is key, flowers are an expensive outlay and you want them to look fresh for as long as possible! Before Xmas 2019 I attended a Door Wreath workshop which was fantastic and my door was the envy of all my neighbors. The creative nature of the florists is also breathtaking and have seen their displays in many local businesses & hotels. Keep up the good work putting Lytham on the ‘map’

Lancashire is a county in the North West of England and it was established in 1182, a little behind other counties. Its name came from the city of Lancaster which means the ‘Roman fort on the River Lune.’ It combines the name of the river with the Old English word cæster, derived from the Roman word for ‘fort or camp.’

Today, the county has a population of 1,219,799 with more than half are females (617,264) and the rest are males (602,535). As for schools and universities, Lancashire has four. It also has three local football clubs. Accrington Stanley F.C. was founded in 1968 plays at the Crown Ground. The Lancaster F.C. which was founded in 1911 plays at the Giant Axe and the Chorley Football Club, which was founded in 1883, plays at Victory Park.

As for the places to see in Lancashire, here are some of them. Lancaster Castle is the medieval castle overlooking the River Lune. There is the Forest of Bowland or Bowland Fells in the north-east of Lancashire. The area has gritstone fells, deep valleys and peat moorland.

Williamson Park by millionaire James Williamson, 1st Baron Ashton, features the Ashton Memorial. Brockholes, a nature reserve in Preston, has the UK’s first floating visitor village. Rivington Pike is a hill on Winter Hill which is part of the West Pennine Moors at Rivington, Chorley. You can find the prominent landmark, Pike Tower, at the summit. The area is popular for hill walking and mountain biking.

WWT Martin Mere is a wetland nature reserve and features a wildfowl collection. Managed by Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, you can find this at Tarlscough, Burscough.

As for green spaces, you can find two. The Gresgarth Hall Gardens was created by the renowned garden designer Arabella Lennox-Boyd. It has several plants, shrubs, and trees such as ferns, lilacs, azaleas, and magnolias. Rufford Old Hall Gardens has woodland areas and displays of rhododendrons and azaleas. It also has interesting topiary, climbing plants and a collection of old-fashioned plants.
